Red Sky Morn

Stormed clouds bringing thunder and rain.
    Howls of wind, singing insane.
Lightening smacks earth, ringing in pain.

Rain drops rap windows, tapping like haunted fingers.
Puddles turn flood, trapping life that lingers.
Booms and flashes snapping the night with stingers.

Red sun rises, shining its kingly glow.
Mother Earth remains painfully quiet, with scratches and scars to show.
She dare not tell on the storm, for the sun can never know...

        Ssshhhh...
