Recovery
Six months have gone by,
All I do is sigh,
Not because I’m not proud,
But because I did it without my dad around,
I watched him fall,
I wish he would just call,
To hear him say he was proud,
But that’s not allowed,
You see in my fathers eyes,
This is just a disguise,
One day I will know,
That I took the right way to go,
One thing I learned,
That I am starting to be heard,
Every single person that I have met on this journey,
Has shown me I don’t have to worry,
Because they believe in me,
They are teaching me to see,
That this is the way,
Just for today,
I do not have to hurt alone,
Or cry to the unknown,
Every single person here today,
I hope you all stay,
This is the only way,
And that is okay.
