Recovering My Love Lady

linger so long in love
that forever is a moment

lose the deadly drum of worldly desires
to the beat of disease

succumb and immerse
intoxicated sweet melody
all in a reverie
no orchestra could produce

poised fingers placed
on the keys of my heart
I start
a rhythm renowned

time is a terrace
I place all tragedies
most horrible
some unspeakable

but labor is my love's lady
and I place her deep within
the recesses of the folds of my mind
she, willing to water my garden
I, willing to help her grow
into the woman I have always dreamed to be
ME!
