Reborn Here Now Without Baggage

Reborn here now without baggage New experiences each day, Forgotten past before came of age Regression taught another way. Soon this journey will make its own Reborn here now without baggage, Seeking an eternity home With past lessons an advantage, I'm searching for a safe passage With eyes honed on a bright future, Reborn here now without baggage Still coping with human nature. With eyes on the circle of life Considering the whole package, This is the life I live without strife Reborn here now without baggage.

Milton, Congratulations! May the lessons we learn on this earth, be the foundation for us to be 'Reborn Without Baggage'. Blessings, Paulette

"Soon this journey will make its own way" just one of your amazing lines, Milt. This is so profound in its simplicity leaving little nuggets of wisdom scattered throughout each line, each verse. It is elegant! Congratulations on your win! Blessings for your journey.

Like your honesty here: Reborn here now without baggage/ Still coping with human nature./ We all have to cope with items thrown into our baggage even if we’ve emptied it out. Perhaps we learn how to do so more quickly. Congratulations, Milton!

Superb write, as always, Milton! Thus contest was difficult to judge, I guess many great poems had to be left out, merely because they didn’t resonate as well as the others. A bit of subjectivity in judging, I guess. Congrats on your win! Thank you for participating and look forward to your entry in the next Quietus contest coming up!

Thanks so much for this recognition, Unseeking Seeker. I enjoyed your contest and appreciate my placement. Part of the credit goes to Jenna Logan, who caught a mistake and helped me fix it before you judged.

One more edit should do it, Milt. Did you read the mail I sent you this morning?

I did. I made one or two changes. Wow, I missed that one. Hey, thanks a billion for pointing this out to me. Sometimes my fingers work faster than my brain, and sometimes my brain doesn't work at all! Much appreciated, Jenna. If I place I'll give you part of the credit. Only part...you understand.

Thank you, Caren. The rhyme scheme is off for the contest, but I'm going to work on it. I'll probably fix it and the sponsor will have already read and discarded it. Oh well....Hey, thanks for the affirmative comment.

I couldn't make any improvement on Pashags comments. It "Dawns' on us slowly that we should let go. Good luck in contest, Milt.

Sooner or later we have to drop the baggage of illusions and understand it is just a losing game...the only real thing is to have the opportunity to play one more game and lose even more... your message is well understood... Nice poetry...
