Reborn

there are times when our hearts can't word what to say,
simple gestures and compliments we use everyday,
when havoc unfolds and we see cruelty's face,
the reminders of memories we simply can't replace,
love, friendship, and life keep on moving on,
and god teaches how precious our days are before we are gone,
he teaches us to savor and cherish our family and friends,
let by gones be by gones, to forgive, and make ammends,
there is no room left for pride, or jealousy, or hate,
no one knows the lord's plans with his hand in our fate,
questions with no answers, why so soon our loved ones are sent up above,
maybe to remind us, sometimes, we forget how to love,
and not to take for granted our days he has blessed,
he knows our true heart and when we are at our best,
our words are so revealing, our tongue is a tool,
the impressions you make now can leave you empty or full,
so when we are hurt, or confused, or our heart's feeling torn,
it is safe to say in the midst of our suffering that love is reborn.

So true to let bygones be bygones. No jealousy no hate. A lesson learned over time as you let love fill all the crevices of your life. Blessings, Cortney! Kim
