Reborn

Reborn here now without baggage, there’s nothing to weigh me down. I’m like an unsullied package that shines like a white bridal gown. I am smiling. Oh, can you see? Reborn here now without baggage, I can do anything. I’m free, and I have every advantage. With joy I know I can manage the trials that soon I will face. Reborn here now without baggage, all life I’m prepared to embrace. Perfection I know can’t last long. With time, there always is damage. Praise to God though will be my song - reborn here now without baggage. Oct. 11, 2021 for unseeking seeker's Dawn Poetry Contest

You came up with some great rhymes for baggage. All I could think of were saggage and gaggage, neither which would have helped much, haha. Lovely thoughts - how nice it would be to be reborn without baggage.

well, doesn't baggage go away the minute you are reborn? That was how I was taught the concepts. Not that I am reborn myself!!! Far from it, haha!!!

So well penned meaningful a poem for Seeker's contest Ria... The first line that he set for us for the contest itself is awesome and you have elaborated it well with your thoughtful pen and rose well to the challenge...Nice imagery too...I see here..."an unsullied package that shines like a white bridal gown"... and perfect rhyming...Best wishes and hugs... ~ Ani

thanks, Ani, there sure were not rhymes to be used with baggage but all mine I think were actual 100% rhymes according to rhyme zone.

hmm, I would like to see the artwork. It must be an ad you are seeing. That's funny Sometimes we get ads that seem to match with our poems. Thanks, Lasaad.

One of the best I have read on this theme, Andrea. You found the rhymes to go with your upbeat message. Yes--I see the smile.

Thanks, Vijay. I just hope this is the nature of the theme the sponsor was looking for.

I find this quite sad Andrea, a premonition of woe. Hope things are ok.

I did not mean it to be a premonition of woe, harry. I was simply writing a poem per the requirements of unseeking seeker. I was thinking how reborn Christians must feel when they are newly baptized, that's all.

I'm sure this should please the Seeker. I am not used to his using "ego" and your use of baggage. All in all a lovely poem.

baggage was the sponsor's word choice. Where are you getting the ''ego" thing from?

Sadly you are not only not reborn, you prevent life from existing, stop praising god and start praising science. Without vaccines 80% of us would not even be alive today.

give it a rest, Arthur. If you paid attention to anything other than mainstream news, you might learn that the V itself is killing people and that is why doctors, nurses, pilots, police, etc are walking off their jobs rather than be jabbed. yeah, I am preventing life from existing. Right. Wow!! and 80% of us would not be alive without the V. You are brainwashed beyond comprehension. Go bother someone else with your utter nonsense.
