Real Romantic Lies
He had to confess, had to own up,
And tell her the truth of the matter,
‘Fess up about the online image he had,
Come clean about all of the swagger,
So he said, “Well my job, not as good as I claim,
And I’m not as tall as I say,
And I also need to lose a few pounds,
And money… well I live day to day.”
“That’s cool,” she replied, “I should ‘fess up myself,
I too, need to go to the gym,
And I’m not as young as I say, I’m not quite as toned,
And my bust is a little bit slim.”
And they both sent a sigh, a relief for the truth,
Their fake could now be replaced,
And they could get on with their life, a real liaison,
Now they could meet face to face.
