Real Eyes

Those who hurt us the most are those who most need our prayers
Father, Son and the Holy Ghost and all the responsibility that bares
With words that pierce our very being and actions that openly reveal
However, it is in the seeing, such a beautiful Queen dressed in Teal

With our hearts being all broken they become so sensitive to touch
All those angry words spoken over what really doesn't mean much
Standing there so lovingly before such a gift of peace for your heart
There's no reason to open angers door so why would you even start

Every single rude comment that slam up against our fabric of pride
And what that had meant in the nerve of those who had even tried
Still standing there She hasn't moved, Her Hands now outstretched
A Peace that has so often soothed despite the lines that are etched

We'll continue to make mistakes the only thing we can call our own
Feeling everyone of life's aches without any true Light being shown
Kneeling down before, each day, as to thee do we send up our sighs
How in Your sweet and gentle way You so often allow me to realize

Queen of the Universe
Our life, our sweetness our joy
Pray for Us!
