Reactions

Time drips down
The small of his back
Red streaks fill broad shoulders

Legs shake with
Paralyzing frustration
Twitching with hunger

The world stops
Relief rushes to fill
The space of need

Musk and sweat fill
The air
Barely masking the morning sun rise
