Reaching For You
I reach out in the darkness...Reaching into empty
space that I know is there...Yet I still reach for it,
for you, because you are my first thought
when I awake, you're a reflexive part of me,
you make all of my incompleteness whole.
All of my fear, safe...My doubts, untrue...
So I reach for it...
The comfort in it... The safety of it...
The want and need for it...
Yes I need you...Your very fabric is intertwined
with mine to make up one beautiful cloth...
We share the same blood...Breathe the same
air, and beat within each others hearts...
So I reach for it...
Even if you are not lying there next to me I
know that I have found it...
So I smile in darkness as my empty arms pull
you close into my chest. So close I swear that I can smell
your hair, feel your hot breath, and the warmth radiating
from your body as if you were lying there next to me,
physically, mentally, spiritually...
I smile again with my arms wrapped around the imagery
of everything that makes you beautiful to me...
Everything that makes you the most amazing part of my life...
My Love...
My Soul...
Quietly I fall back asleep holding you close to me,
eternally...You are here...As I am there...You see
we are always together...Everywhere...Forever...
