The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Raven of the Head Stones

Raven of the Head Stones
gracing the smoky ground with a creeping divinity
you feel no cold
despite being dressed in your shimmering black gown that
holds no warmth in

you stand there
communing with those that have gone before
acknowledging some of the tragedies
that befell the buried

they speak to you
as if they were alive and whispering in your ear
telling you
that they feel comfort in you watching over them

it's a certainty
that you have lost someone that you have loved too
one can tell
the way your body is confined to stillness
like the Head Stones
that are as immovable and unchanging as the seasons
of the witch.
