Raven Boy

He exits the egg sable and glossy. Eyes clear, wide, bottomless. Puckered skin shrouds spiked limbs. Years of tears soak the tattered yolk sac. The mask is fastened, buckled, buttoned and stitched. There is safety behind the leather. Smile through beak and feather. Wings span above street and house. Talon and tool sharpen and flex. The soft ones sleep inside, locked and warm. But he has ways. And he can problem solve. With the best of them.
