Rationale

Compelled by indignation At the sentiments I feel, For one who’s hand as sacred As heaven’s speech to ear, Hate and lamentation Dispel my every word, For being such a victim Of a love that is unheard, To one of such humility Unaccustomed to the game, Of longing with desires For what ought not be attained, And fearful…very fearful Of the bliss that shall ensue, For all happiness must end When the chapter will conclude, That I am but a man Who lives virtuous a life, To bring her any anguish Sets all ideals to strife.
