Rare Gems

You were the promised "slice of heaven"
The adventure termed a futile endeavor.
I sought after, I fought for, I got “you”.
But after this there won't be us anymore.
Just stories,
Unknown, unfinished
Buried in the abyss of the mind
Crushed by the dirt of activity and endeavor.
To be chanced on later by some adventurous
ah 'moments'
Now discovered like treasures buried or so
we'll think.
Held dear like treasures are wont to.
