I read about the war of words Compton vs Canada rap stars, a challenge & a response Kendrick won but Drakes' legacy in stone I don’t think they’ve spoken since the battle, ha a test of lyrical skill. Very creative, I really enjoyed this one, aside the political lims! A rappers delight

SP, thanks so much for this comment. I did try to use language that would seem appropriate for the competition. I heard recently that they are calling a truce. I hope that is the case, but the fans may express some disappointment at that. As long as we all realize it's fun and not take it our ourselves too seriously, no harm in it all. Might be good for sales.

Ha!! I love this one!!! I prefer limericks like this than the political ones.. you love to make a mockery of these things and rightly so, as these guys do it themselves..

SO, I'll keep this comment in mind and continue to intersperse a lot of poems that relate to comical forms of life. This was actually a significant phenomenon since it affected many fans and followers of this music.

Thanks Karen, I saw this covered by the PBS news hour and was surprised by what I learned. Apparently, it's big news for those involved in this segment of the music business. Hope they don't take themselves too seriously!

Thanks Arthur, I read your recent work and I am struck by how much egotistical conduct and prejudice are behind our penchant for hurting people we don't know. At least these rappers are competing without violence (at least for now).

Andrea, I had briefly listened to Drake recently, as he is a Canadian rapper, and I was curious. However, I don't generally listen to rap either. PBS news hour did a story on this feud last night, which inspired this. The whole nature of the behavior involved does not inspire me. Some people love it though.

Thanks Hilda, apparently this feud has been going on for some time and is reflected in their music. There's really plenty of room for each to be a success, so I wonder about the egos involved.
