Ransom

Every pore on my skin, Lusts for the desire of your fingertips, You can play me like you play the acoustic, If that is all you wish, Your voice would quell, Each tear I’ve spilt, And yet I walk alone, Knowing your spirit, Like I can hear it, In my chest- There are times, When my mind, Ventures to you and discovers, A maze, With the haze, Of smoke; I may never break the shell, That is you, But I can dream, Of my tall dark and handsome, I would pay a ransom, For your heart, And never look back, If it was mine to keep.
