Thank you, my friend. It's nice to have some support for what is becoming an increasingly unpopular position, i.e., even a small dose of fiscal responsibility. Lightfoot, a progressive herself, has offered the highest-paid teachers in the nation a 16.5% raise over 5 years guaranteed. Goodness gracious. Isn't that enough for these 'teachers,' esp. when the Chicago Public Schools totter on the verge of bankruptcy?!) Thanks again! Smiles, Gershon

Yeah if Lori Lightfoot will let them, she doesn't seem like she wants any help with anything. She's got it all under control. : ) You tell'em my friend.

Wow, I woke up someone!!! : ) Politics in general is an overflowing can of worms. Like the ones clowns use to have where the would open the lid and those things would pop out everywhere. : ) Smile my friend.

Chicago politics certainly is a can of worms, and just like Trump is ever the buffoon for butting into police affairs here, so are Sanders and Warren out of their element (and jurisdictions) by their uneducated interference in complex issues, of which they know not... One thing about Lightfoot: She spent five weeks (!) meeting hundreds of thousands of Chicagoans to collect their views on balancing the city budget. Not one good idea was presented, frankly... But today in her budget address, she looks like she's done it with her proposal... Didn't back her (or her opponent, Preckwinkle) at first; but to date Lori's much better than her predecessors in actually trying to keep the city out of bankruptcy court, by cutting spending and not borrowing via bonds... Smiles, Gershon
