RAINY HIGHWAY INCIDENT Rain in face Turn away as truck roars past Sports car in imagined race Hisses to near-aquaplane fast Passing the eighteen wheels Through his spray cloud Enjoying how it feels Being in glass in rain-shroud Oil patch or tyre shred Too small to notice Too late: he’s dead Skids into the abyss Turn tearful away from wreck Can’t stand to look at the place Must have broken his neck Rain in face .................................................................
