Rainwater
My pants wet from the rain
The rain that falls freely around
Around the two of us a night
This night that has kidnapped us both
Both streaming with water
Water cleansing our souls
The souls that were lost to the wind
The wind caresses our faces
Our faces are bathed in love
Love radiates from our drenched bodies
Both bodies crash into each other
Other thoughts enter our minds
Minds that are so fragile with fear
Fears of what may come with the new day
A day that’s completely apart from those passed
Passed by without a thought from neither
Neither you nor I
But I don’t care at the moment
This moment is just for me and you
You grab my hand and splash in the rain
The rain that you and I laugh into
