Rain

Rain comes to all sinners and saints
As well as the sunshine
It all controlled by our Master
A power so divine
Storms and hurricanes come to all in this life
With very gusty winds and torrential rain
It seems we lose it all sometimes
In our efforts to gain
What we need from the Lord
Deliverance, love, joy, peace
Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge
Some of feel at times it was waste of time
And we went in debt in vain
Working towards degrees in college

But rain don't always wash away the good stuff
Especially when we let God be our shelter
I mean without rain there would be no growth
Sunny days are great but the sun scorches
We need the rain to wash away some impurities
And to cover our tears
To make us strong
In the midst of our fears

To cool us down when we get so mad
And remind us to always be glad
Though it ain't easy to always smile
But we gotta remember that rain and storms only last a short while
Then we see our rainbow
