Rain

Listen to the rain friends
It's a symphony for life
Often slow and steady, but
Sometimes thunderous, loud, and rapid
There are crescendo's and decrescendo's
Pray for rain, dance for rain
Curse the rain, dance in the rain
Who'll stop the rain?
Rain a grand "contronym for life"
The choice of God to destroy the unrightous
Nothing can survive without it
Dark and dreary depressive days of rain
Ones intellect must overrule the mood
Knowing rain will only stay for a spell
Listen to the rain friends
It's a symphony for life
The rainbow nature's narcotic for natural high
Captivating, enchanting, and elevating to behold
Sing songs about the rain
Create grand metaphor's for rain
Love the rain, detest the rain
Listen to the rain friends
Listen to the rain

Rain can be destructive when it pours for days, but I love the pitter patter on the windows and the smell is intoxicating. Right after a light rain, the birds are chirping away; it makes for a pleasing day. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on rain through your poetry, my friend. Have a pleasant weekend, Kenneth. This symphony ought to play well on the plain... in Spain! ~ Rex Harrison

Hello Kenneth, I love the sound of the rain. When it is beating against the window pane. I also like the sound of the wind blowing at night. This is a peaceful sound. Enjoy your evening Kenneth. \Darlene\

I absolutely love this rain poem, your love for rain is so well depicted and delivered. Recently, I went swimming in the rain, when the tides were fierce and rain poured so fiercely too. It’s refreshing and its like cleansing all the pain and angst away. Something about rain is soothing, altho thunder is scary. Love this so much

what a great poem. What's that one song called? I want to know, have you ever seen the rain... (or do they say "heard" the rain) I"m thinking it was Creedance clearwater, but my memory isn't so great now for those golden oldies.
