Notes About The Poem

I love to hear the rain, especially at night.

Rain

Listening to the rain gently pinging off the roof
Feeling warm and secure, flannel surrounds me
Drip, drop, ping, musical sounds to my ears
Steady sounds pouring down, gently hitting the window
Releasing all my pent-up tension
Drip, Drop, knowing no one is out there
Toes wiggle in delight, feeling safe and secure
Drip, drop, musical delight to my ears
totally hypnotizing me, releasing my energy
Exhaling, I am intoxicated, feeling sleepy
Drip, drop, ping
rest
