Rage

Lump in my throat and I can't cry,
Just quiet and serene but not sly,
My organs wrestling,
Bones stinging,
My brain is as vacant as a beggar's bowl,
Rage fuming, flaring the chaos,
Breathing becomes barbaric.
I'm burning and I'm burning and I'm burning,
Teary eyes may snap like buttons,

Evacuation necessary for the weak,
Who can't even speak despite the ability to speak.

Rage can affect not only one's mind and spirit, but every organ of the body. With all rage inside, if one can't express it, it will be miserable. Take a deep breath and inhale and exhale a few times. You will feel much better.Such a powerful and emotive poem, dear Anne.

Woohoo Anne ! Bring it on & let it pass. Rage is not a negative state to be in. Breath will normalise. If this is about Self, do a liver cleanse. I like the cut & dry title. ThkU for sharing details of rage as it outpours. U share it for many. Sending Rainbow Light to Solar Plexus Chakra. So be it. Xx

Dearest Anne, you are right rage isn't just a mental state, it's a physiological event. Your metaphor of the "beggar's bowl" for a vacant brain is a striking way to show how intense emotion can hollow out our logic, leaving nothing but the "fuming" chaos. I feel the literal heat of someone who is "burning and burning" while maintaining a "quiet and serene" exterior, which is perhaps the most dangerous kind of anger there is. Great Read! Blessings, Dear Anne, Daniel

Oh my gosh, i felt the intensity of rage and exhaustion within your well articulated lines poetic soul, dear anne, i feel you, sometimes we all go through such emotions. Especially felt "I'm burning and I'm burning and I'm burning, Teary eyes may snap like buttons," awwn my heart hurts for so many who feels this way. Such a poignant write this is! Sometimes we all need to evacuate and be in silence, to heal... pleasure reading you! Sending you light always

"Teary eyes may snap like buttons" a tormented soul, it makes me think of the 156 graves carved out for the school girls & staff, casualties of war. Sad & anger is felt. Ty for sharing such buried passions, poetess~
