Radio On

With the radio on while not cruising at a safe speed
I pop in my tape not a cd

Music playing 'Born to be Wild' hitting repeat, repeat
while my hands drum to the fast beat

All the windows are down loving the heat
the outside air is so sugar and sweet

Singing along with 'Steppenwolf' my spirit free of any rules
just land, road and a lot of fuel

How far will I go only time will tell
definitely not looking for any hotel

I see the sun setting west just over the mountain crest
what a wonderful ride with no life of stress

The world is mine I just realized
with the radio on I continue to drive

With my dogs at my side
at last I feel ALIVE!

Oh YEAH Tammy! - This song and 'Magic Carpet Ride' are two of my favorites and bring back SO many great memories, making me long to 'head out on the highway' again...Also, I like the fact that it was a tape and NOT a CD. Thanks for this - Tim
