Race With the Light

abstract images fracture her brain
shards of a life review kaleidoscope
dodge the pain they carry
concentrate on present
memories weave waves relentlessly
raging “against the dying of the light”
ends in time
today, race with the light
overpowering faith pulsates
stimulates
energy pours through veins
her final resolve
welcome every shining day
