Qwerty, a Contest Idea

Why use words at all?
          Ban all words, makes our skin crawl.
          Only the numbers, yes?
          And,of course, punctuation marks.
          Perhaps..ah, but what then?

          Burn all print in a starlit park.
          I think it would be one, fine lark!
          Man since time began, used simple drawings.
          How about that?
          Reduce all poetic scrawlings!

I guess I am plain out of it. Some poems for an old wench like me are pure code. I was raised to write in English but honestly, lost when in comes to poems in code. On the new iPad there are hundreds of emojis. I get sea salt sick looking for one.)) This poem was a spoof on “let’s shrink poetry to nothingness,” I am not a good poet,John but there are good poets here.... cheers and thanks to them)))) Panagiota

As if that could replace Poe, Frost or Shakespeare. I don’t understand the the disdain for the English language at all..it simply cannot be tossed in a food-processor.! Nor a disposal. Will wedding vows fall to the same ignominious fate! Probably! Panagiota
