I never thought that I could be
In love, In France, In June
Or ever hear a woman's voice
Sound like a gentle tune
Or eyes that gaze at me
That make me feel complete
Or the gentle fragrance of her hair
Surrounding something sweet
I shall never not remember
The days that we have spent
Dwelling in a sonnet
Of a sonnet, of silents
For the morrow I must fly
Over forest and field and farm
To a place they call "No Mans Land"
A place of fear and harm
But before I go back to war
I save one Quote for you
The one you're said to me
It goes, "je t'aime beaucoup"

G'day Jerry … very touching Jerry. All war is terror and those left at home must live with dread each day - thank you Jerry - Lindsay
