Quite Roundabout
fresh from a heart bypass operation,
to his islet resort he's choppered down,
a tired, ailing middle-aged billionaire,
to rest, to be healed by the balmy air;
his doc tells him to relax, go fishing,
forget business, inhale some salty wind,
just lounge aroung this tropical haven,
commune with nature, sleep before seven;
he chances upon an old fisherman
in a hammock, taking it so easy,
'neath the breezy shade of coconut trees,
sipping lemonade, watching honeybees;
and then it dawns upon the billionaire,
life can be harsh or kind, funny or fair,
this fisherman has long, long been doing
what the rich often has no time trying !
