Quintile In Her Prime

So sad full of care the face of nan, life, lines her beauty so fair- this girl full of care, this face of love 'cross memmory's chasm I stare, so sad- youthfulness we could not share apart by kin's time-line divide Dedicated to all Grand-mothers everywhere & Inspired by this portait Nan by Epstein http://www.tate.org.uk/servlet/ArtistWorks?cgroupid=999999961&artistid=1061&page=1

What a beautiful dedication this is, Brian. My grandma passed on when I was 5 (she was almost 82), but I have clear memories of her and I loved her dearly. She wrote (some) poetry and was always making up Rhymes. I am proud to have inherited this from her. Thank you for this lovely poem and memory today! Love, Robin

You have crossed the barrier of just viewing a piece of art..., and feeling it, as the artist who created it must have felt. This beauty in bronze. ~ Carrie
