Notes About The Poem

Quintessential Male

He's forever in a rush, eager to explore each day. And with a liberal brush, paints reality his way. Flashing a smile from his heart women submit to his whim. And embellishing his part, he makes it all about him. He's the quintessential male, and ladies beg him for more. His rugged looks oft prevail; it's easy for him to score. As stories spread his deeds grow, he steams his oysters in hell. But before faults start to show, he skips lunch and hawks the shell. An angel with a sly grin, his tall tales trump the truth. For wading through thick and thin, he follows the dreams of youth. (Quatrain) 1/1/2016

A testament that serves to highlight the cavalier attitude of many people, and not just the young I might add, of today. A solid write, Emile...as always! My very best regards...And my warmest wishes for your New Year! :) john
