Quietus By Desire

Sometimes the less weight you bear, The more of your own weight tips the scales. There's too many words, too much chaos, All stemming from silence, from absence. The coziest warmth is someone else's. Even the hottest nights can still be cold. No better music than their laugh. No stronger longing than not knowing who.

Beautiful and yet bittersweet!!! I love how seamless your words flow. It’s the same feeling I had when I read your previous poem you posted before this one.

I'm glad you are finding my writing to be so moving! Often times I get imposter syndrome and worry that I don't deliver on the emotions behind the words. You are too kind!
