Quiet

She takes baths to clean her soul
with water scalding hot
because if not she would drown
in the feelings left between the sheets
like his hips between her thighs
and the child in the womb
of a mother who didn't know what to do
and a father already burdened by another and two people
who barely knew how to move
 so they kept searching
for the words to say but nothing came out and it was done like the light of a flame extinguished in a jar without oxygen because without him she can't breathe
but with him she feels free
