Questions, Questions

Are we in the end of ages?
When will all our sorrows flee?
When will we
Be joyfully
Thus taken for eternity?

Are the wars and famines seeking
To convey to use good news?
When will we
With our eyes see
The sign of Christ in glory be?

Is the selfishness and hatred
In these hearts a call to see?
When will we
Be called to leave
And be of evil ever free?

Is the earth, its pangs of birth
A sign to never sleep at ease?
When will we
The lonely, meek
In Christ His hands, so sleep in peace?

As the questions grow within,
This I know the truth to be:
Soon will we
With Him be seen
Till then, shall not our prayers cease.
