To love, honour and obey,
You’d think it is an easy way.
To trust and keep faithfulness,
You’d think it is close to Godliness.
Why do we trespass on each other’s hearts?
Why do we so much hurt impart?
Why do we think we can always get away?
Why do we think it’s okay to stray?
Why do we energy spend to lie & cheat?
Why do we come clean our Maker to meet?
Why do we prize ourselves above the other?
Why do we with love and peace so struggle?
