Quest
"Don't give up on your dreams, or your dreams will give up on you." -- John Wooden.
He made a quest to the mountain top
to reach the peak of the brightest star.
Only death would make him stop.
His fueled soul shone from afar.
His steps were slow but they were sure.
He wouldn't want to make a slip.
His grip on slopes, he should ensure.
Pitfalls before him were so deep.
At night, he creeped with his mighty hand
just to make sure he would not fumble;
For, even the finest grain of sand
could make a mighty heart stumble.
He braved the storm and the thunder.
Against the frost, he almost died.
His soul was almost burned to cinder.
The wind almost caused his slide.
But his persistence keeps him alive,
for, he needs to fulfill his quest.
Whatever happens, he must strive.
He must give all his very best.
