Quest
QUEST
Leafing through the pages of my life, there are moments
I would stop to reflect on each quest I had in the past.
Growing up in confusion, whom and which family I did
belong, my quest was to be on my own and be independent.
Then marrying and having two children at early age, I had
another quest of coming here to United States of America
to have better opportunities to provide for my children
and to have not only stability; but to lead a better life.
I came here and settled in California forty seven years ago.
Not only I became independent or on my own, I also found
peace of belonging to my own family with no confusion.
Had ample opportunities to be stable and live a better life.
Yet, a better life does not mean, no storms, no trials or no
difficulties and so my quest to raise my children as a single
parent followed and later my quest of making sure I retire
with enough to live on and not be dependent to anybody.
Now, in my golden years I have one more quest, to go to
Vienna to find out more about the girl in my visions that
I had for more than five decades for discovering her
whereabouts in Google is not good enough for me.
I must obtain more information about her and my quest
is to search where she lived more than a hundred years
ago to see for myself and know how I would feel when
I get there and so this is my quest, to find it out for me.
