Quench
Quench
Another evening and I pray;
to wake up with quenching the spirit.
By moving with outstanding gentleness
I walk to the tree outside my window.
As it teaches me;
to have my own roots.
Oh God! Teach me to be tall and calm,
with branches and leaves
Grant me; your patience again and again.
To have love for the smallest creatures,
to have conversations in my spirit.
I do hope for good things to come.
I do not wish to suppress the plans;
that are laid out for me.
Help me, quench my thirst!
Keep the fire burning.
To live each day,
as though it is new.
