Queen of the Hollywood Screen

Pick a ‘Cause’ and then lecture the press On why this ole world’s such a mess With a high school drop-out degree ‘So what? I’m a STAR! I’m just… ME” Oh the charities your slick agent books How bout giving when nobody looks? Slip five thousand in cash for a start In that can at your local Wal-Mart THAT'S right, you don’t shop there! My-my (“Oh, they abuse their workers that’s why”) Feed that starving, unfortunate child! Who grovels in the African wild “Um, that’s why I’m so pale and so thin I SOOOH much identify with him” "SO sorry, gotta go, here’s a wink Got a date to go scream at my shrink”…

Definitely a fun one to read... Yep, where's the humility in what they do? I think they're way to into the ME.

wowow, t his is GREAT. Hey, why don't you rewrite this to be a miltonic sonnet . I bet if you tried really hard you could do it!! This is so close to being a sonnet already, tim!! At first I thought maybe this was Oprah until I read the "pale and thin" part. hahaha.

You hold back nothing......the true nitty-gritty headlines may seem impressive to those blinded by fame and glamor......but charity and humility count when no one is looking. Yep....you nailed it !

Love it! Well said. I heard that there is a small Ming bowl that recently sold for 36 million dollars... http://blogs.wsj.com/scene/2014/04/08/the-36-million-ming-dynasty-era-bowl/ and I wondered about the person who purchased it. Did they give a billion to hungry children? Hospitals? The homeless? Will they just put that bowl up in a cupboard? Sickening. You captured this well in your poem... I have sent you email. Sorry. I feel asleep in my girls bed last night! ARGH! Cyndi

So much truth in this, Tim. You surely see with a clearer vision than most. :) Hugs
