Queen E

Did I inherit her binding soul...

We She that will not be conquered...

I tremble without fear - without elation

I have kept my station -

No man lay claim to me...

No man good enough -

My heart repels this indignation...

I rest this rose...

with one such as I

with only one other...

She will take me with all
my faults and I hers...

I will wield this one love
before me...

This love I truly deserve...

My reward for this intuitive heart -
this mind sharp as a needle...

This soul brave as the lioness
hunter gatherer...

Eileen, I'm so glad you found someone who accepts you as you are. Nice poem! I express similar thoughts in "Wrappings Give Way." Your message comes through very clearly. Surely all artists deserve love and recognition. Carolyn
