Poor getting poorer; rich man getting fat. Wake up, America, and Put the kibosh on THAT! April 4, 2017 for the Form K - Kimo Contest of Broken Wings Note: I looked up the definition of Kibosh and could only find that it's used as a phrase "put the kibosh on (something)" meaning to stop it!

Great use of the word 'kibosh' with sentiments that are scarily true. The pictures are very well suited, a nice visual to your succinct words. lynnxx

I love this Kimo, Andrea...and the accompanying pictures are an excellent choice. Initially I was going for the same theme as yours, but was stuck because of "put the kibosh on"; you pulled it off perfectly! Congratulations on yet another worthy win! Regards // paul

I thought a kibosh was something you put mustard on, just kidding, or was it a club to smack trools with? I'm confused, but I like it...

Mom used this word in the 60's so I called her! Andrea...she said it was an old country expression used by our Celtic ancestors in the "peasant classes"...our heritage! Cobblers used an iron bar...heated...called a kibosh to finish & seal clogs for commonfolk! so when Ma became somewhat disgusted with a situation...her declaration of finality was "put the kibosh on it!"

Andrea. : ) So true - but it's a good and colorful word. First used by Dickens...? Sweet! Tim is right, human nature - we don't really change. There are the few on top of the mountain, rolling the boulders down, while most just sit back, accepting.
