Put the Kettle On

I love a cup of tea in the morning,
coffee at night and in the afternoon.
Tea with the sun,
coffee with the moon.
I love caffeine,it keeps me awake.
How many sugars do I take?
I take no sugar in my tea
because it taints the flavour, you see.
One in my coffee to take away the bitterness,
just the one,no more,no less.
I don't like stewed tea,
I like it just right but I like my coffee strong,
it has to have that bite.
Have a cup of tea when you're feeling upset,
a good chat too,
the best remedy you can get.
Have a cup of coffee when you're feeling tired
but don't over do it,
else you'll be wired.
A nice slice of cake goes well with both,
with tea,Victoria Sandwich,
with coffee fruit loaf.
Caffeine's still a drug
so have respect for it,
if you drink it late at night,
your sleep you will forfeit.
So put the kettle on,
let's have a nice brew
but remember that I'm fussy
so don't let it stew.
