Pushing the Boundaries

Children are so precocious and precious Especially toddlers, learning about the world, Every experience is novel and a bit anxious As new life adventures are rapidly unfurled. We adults don’t remember the earliest years Children are so precocious and precious, We have forgotten the laughter and tears Having accepted that our world is spacious. We can relive them without being pugnacious When little ones unintentionally make a fuss, Children are so precocious and precious Helping us reappreciate the world around us. They bring back some long-buried memories When learning new things was infectious, Toddlers are always pushing the boundaries Children are so precocious and precious.

This is why I surround myself with children "They bring back some long-buried memories"' on a daily basis!

Me neither, Shirley. I am still learning new things every day.

I must still be a child. For me, learning things is still infectious!

Fun to watch and realize what you have written. Wonderful reflection of such in your poetry for us to realize Milton, thanks for bringing us joy in this observation. Blessings...

Thanks, Michael. I still enjoy learning and finding out new things, but I think most adults lose some of that wonder that children exhibit.

OH YEAH, I still stick the occasional green been up my nose much to the chagrin of the other "adults"....and the roars of the toddlers.....

Surely not, John. I can imagine you doing other things, but certainly not that!
