Pushing Away
I've been pushing away
Pushing away those thoughts
That haunt me each day
Such shame they have brought
I've been pushing away
Pushing away those dreams
No, I'm not okay
My heart silently screams
I've been pushing away
Pushing away the grief
For such a loss each day
My pain has been but brief
God, I know I've sinned
I've sinned badly and deeply
Please cleanse me from within
I plead for your mercy
