Purer Than Lilies

I'm purer than lilies
although I have fragilities
and be taken away
by the brutal wind;
I may shiver from the cold...
hoping that I will land
where sunrays are shiny!

My character is more
brilliant than gold,
its glitter is a steady sun
that flowers never shun;
it wines and hides
behind the darkest clouds
to protect its brilliance
from coming storms;
if roses fear a hurricane,
they'll close their petals
and wait for the calm,
not showing their qualm!

If being pure and fragile
offers little protection
from envious and vile people,
resist them and go on;
their foolishness will end
when faced with an enemy
not so merciful and kind:
is it fate or another adversity?
Let them taste its atrocity!
