Pure Pleasure

Children dressed from head to toe
Performing on stage a show
Called "Color Me A Rainbow."
Family and friends sitting below
Row after row
As children go
To and fro
Singing and dancing like pros.
Some children have a cameo
Yet, they're making sure all acts flow.
No one is slow.
There's not a wrinkle on a brow
Just beautiful faces all a glow.
At the end of the show
The parents know
These children have changed from a year ago
As they bestow
A standing ovation shouting bravo
To children who have just captured the rainbow.

Bette. I feel like I have just watched this performance from a front row seat. It reminded me of a memory I had not had in twenty-five years, thus a new poem will probably be born from this poem. Thank you for a great idea, my friend! Mine is completely different, but unremembered until this poem.

Thank you Caren. I am glad it reminded you of something 25 years ago. I hope you get your poem. I will look forward to reading it.

Thank you Andrea. I was so proud of my son and his friends. They were professionals on that night. I don't think there was anyone in the audience who could of disagreed. Lol.
