Pure Like a Dove

When stars are perfectly aligned A fervent eye will meet another Never needing an introduction Feeling like it just belongs there Making a home without permission Like a bird-nest in summer garden. But it's a random occurrence; Not everyone is welcome there, When eyes hastily meet and greet They don't always send a message For heart has its own domain Where entry is well guarded Screening for the eye of deceit It exercises controlling interest. Every wanderer looking intently Bounces off of so many faces Missing the point of love Pure like a dove, free like a bird, Never should one try to catch it Like a fish in shallow waters. We should never try to catch love. It should come freely and perch on our shoulder. A great poem composed with striking images...dear Vijay

My friend Vijay, once again you have unveiled splendid thoughts in your couplets. I read that attraction is established between two people with 30 seconds. You have elaborated on it so well. I agree with you and Silent's comment that one should never catch love - let it freely come to you...Maria

Hello Vijay, I really like your verse here!! You present so much wisdom here in the ten couplets. The lead-off statement followed by the conclusion and/or result in the second verse is a very novel approach indeed. Very Interesting and very well-done my friend!! (Thanks also for your read the other day of my "Nefarious Spirit" couplet!!) Best Always, Gary

Everyone else seems to comment about the eyes, but what stands out to me is the heart. For heart has its domain, where entry is well-guarded is what allows the eyes to hastily meet and greet. This is deep!
