Pump-King And His Lady
I would like to share a story with you
About a sweet pumpkin romance
Two pumpkins from different patches
Doing the pumpkin love dance
Gourden is a large fine looking pumpkin
Revered as the local ‘Pump-King’
Though a country pump-kin at heart
He just loves to line dance and sing
Never afraid to speak his mind
Always at hand to help others out
When the local ‘Smash’n Pumkin Gang’ start trouble
Gourden yells ‘Watch it or l will give you pump-kin to talk about’
In another patch across the road
Lives a lovely Butternut pumpkin called Clementine
Gourden and Clementine are sweethearts
Both besotted and on cloud nine
GOURDEN SAYS~
You are my spoonful of squashy loveliness
My beautiful Clementine
You are the absolute pick of the patch
Forever you will be mine
CLEMENTINE REPLIES~
Gourden you make my heart all squishy squashy
You are so handsome, kind and strong
You treat me as special as a sweet pumpkin pie
With you forever l belong
Clementine likes to keep fit and healthy
She plays squash and line dancing she also adores
Gourden and Clementine line dance every Saturday night
Having fun and pumping it up on the dance floor
Clementine is a wonderful baker
She makes a mean pumpkin pie
When Gourden tries to sneak a little piece more
Clementine laughs, ‘You butter nut even try!’
Gourden and Clementine are very happy
Their future looks bountiful and bright
Pumpkin romance and love flourishes
Under the moon in a pumpkin patch at night
