“The deeper the blue becomes, the more strongly it calls man towards the infinite, awakening in him a desire for the pure and, finally, for the supernatural… The brighter it becomes, the more it loses its sound, until it turns into silent stillness and becomes white.”
– Wassily Kandinsky

“I never get tired of the blue sky.”
– Vincent Van Gogh-----

Listen to poem:
Cooler than Arctic ice Yet, you warm the palette of my life With your nearly bluebell shades Layers of sifted sky Diluted into the tender grey clouds That slowly dance Towards tears of rain How my heart longs to know you As my life brushes past Your pure selfless pouring out Unaware, you resonate clarity; Enlighten with sobriety The lilting, vacant canvas Of my existence

Such a beautiful, deep and thoughtful poem dear Sam. The quotes are wonderful too. I love the vivid imagery - it’s so artistic and the colours of blue are so exquisitely and elegantly captured on the canvas of life. I love the clever word play. Great narration as always truly bring it to life lifting off from the canvas. It’s a very well written, reflective read of which I read several times. Love the clarity with the heart’s yearning. Beautiful my friend. X:)

Hello Sam, your poem is a beautiful relationship that brings coolness and warmth to life's palette. I loved the imagery of nearly bluebell shades and layers of sifted sky, beautifully capturing the nuances of emotions and the gentle dance of love. Your longing to know and understand the depth of this connection reflects the portrayal of the other person's selfless presence in your life. It's a great reflection on the transformative power of love and the clarity it brings to our existence. - Blessings, Daniel

Beautiful! So well written poem this is dear sam, nice to see you post, And so true, theres various shades of blues, and sometimes i see them when i look at the horizon, the sea and the sky, all unfolding various hues of blues. I love the depth of this and how youv depicted longing and love and how you wish to see them in clarity so well expressed. Excellent opening too! Pleasure reading your poem. Sending you light

Thank you Ink :) I was fascinated by an old magazine of my mum's (she was an avid painter) describing how to shade the blues to perfectly match the bluebells in a watercolour painting.. This meditation on the beauty of blue, from sky to eye was the emotive result. Glad you like it. Sam.
