Protect Yourself

Protect Yourself from whatever it is that you are afraid of. Pretend it isn't there. Make hundreds of excuses but the reality is it isn't any less real. See the image reflected in the mirror? Protect yourself from the truths hidden there in my impassioned eyes that rise and fall like ebb and flow. the very heartbeat of the surf. Pretend our love is like a crested wave. It will not drown or wash away, it is the actuality of our being here once in love rising and falling like the tide always returning to the shore back to your heart and ripped away from mine when you said goodbye one last time.
