Promises

PROMISE THE WORLD, JUST SAY IT'LL BE TOMORROW The riches of Midas you can promise for tomorrow Promise that problems will disappear and no more sorrow The sun Up above will forevermore shine The table will be full of favorites on which to dine The stars in the sky will rearrange to spell someone's name All impossibilities can be promised if it is made plain To just say TOMORROW before committing to a promise For tomorrow never comes so you haven't been dishonest

This came to me while I was mulling over the meaning of "tomorrow"

Haven't you ever heard, "What a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive." Just foolin'. I'm not too big on , Elizabeth. They always seem to get broken.
